RUNWAY STORY - NYFW and PFW
New York & Paris Fashion Week
A story of heritage, told through couture.
For K R I T I, the runways of New York and Paris became a canvas for a deeply personal story, one rooted in Nepal, its artistry, and the traditions that continue to shape our creative identity.
The collection reimagined elements of Nepali heritage through a contemporary couture lens. A fully hand-beaded lehenga, inspired by the traditional Chaubandi Cholo, celebrated the beauty of traditional dress through intricate craftsmanship and a modern silhouette. Another look brought Mithila art to life through hand-painted detailing, paired with a beaded blouse that united painting and embellishment in a single expression of wearable art.
The showstopper carried the story to the Himalayas. Featuring a fully hand-painted Himalayan landscape and the Buddha eyes, the piece was conceived as more than a garment, t was a tribute to Nepal’s natural beauty, spiritual symbolism, and the place we call home.
Every detail reflected our belief that couture can preserve culture while allowing it to evolve. Through handwork, storytelling, and modern design, K R I T I brought a piece of Nepal to the international runway.
Rooted in Nepal. Created for the world.
